Kerala Government Declares Public Holidays for the Year 2026 under the Negotiable Instruments Act
Under the explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the Government of Kerala, vide G.O. (P) No. 15/2025/GAD dated 31st October 2025, has declared the list of public holidays for the calendar year 2026. It also mentions that holidays to the Institutions coming under the Labour Laws, such as the Industrial Disputes Act, Shops and Commercial Establishment Act, Minimum Wages Act, etc., will be governed by the Kerala Industrial Establishments (National and Festival Holidays) Act, 1958.
